week 12-13

MATH 
I learned about mixed numbers and that a mixed number has to have a fraction and a hole number.
I did lesson 19, that lesson was about how to see if a number is a even or odd number with odd  digits.
I learned what a reciprocals is. It is when you take a fraction like 5 over 3 and you turned it to 3 over 5, and to change it back you will do something called an invert. It is when you change a 5 over 3 back to a 3 over 5.
I made some cinnamon rolls and some normal bread rolls.
I  taught my little siblings how to do small fractions like 1+1=2 and 1+3=4. Easy ones like that.
  
LANG ART
I finished my Manguse Chase book. It ended on a cliff hanger so I cant wait for the next book to come out. I started and finished The Pharaoh's Secret
This is the summary....

I did some typing, I practiced the letters c,g and n. I am at 33 words per-minute.
I learned what a prepositional phrases.
It can show a location, time or direction.
I learned about a run on sentence, the works that make run on sentence is but,and and or.  I learned what the difference is between pedal (pedal on a bike) petal ( petal on a rose) and peddle ( sell you peddle somewhere else) 
I learned about the EY team.   You cant have an EY in the middle of a word.
 I am reading the second book of the A to Z mysteries to my sisters, the book is called "the bald bandit".
I made a school for my 3 year old brother and my 5 year old sister.
I  taught them how to spell... love, hope and and. 


HISTORY
I read about the Greek Gods and why they created them. They wanted to have an explanation for what was happening. like rain and tornadoes and earthquakes.   
I read about the Vietnam war.
I read about the bombing of German. It was the most bloodiest war ever. 
We went to the museum of natural history. 
We even got to go behind the scenes of the museum and see real dinosaur bones. All the pictures that i am going to show you are real bones.
This is me with a REAL T-Rex tooth. The tooth has bumps on them to help them cut meat.

This is a mineral called Gypsum.  

This is a scull of a Mammoth.
You can see the holes for the tusks. they must have been HUGE!

This is dinosaur poop. This is actually  very in portent. The Scientist cut it up in small small small pieces then look under a microscope to see what that Dino eat.

It is a type of a triceratops.

This is a skeleton of a Hyracotherium.

This is the info for the Hyracotherium. 

This rock is called Obsidian, this rock has not been polished or cut.   




This rock is a lot of rocks put together, and again none of theses have been polished or cut.

 On this part it showed us a cut and polished peace of old wood.

PHOTOGRAPHY 
I am starting on the mid-year project.
The mid-year project is when you take three pictures with all that i have learned this year.  


SEWING
I made a reversible apron. On one side it is a chevron pattern ( pink,purple and white) with soled color ( purple) pockets and on the other side is a plane color with chevron pockets.
I made a barbie blanket (pink and purple) and a hand towel out of old pieces of felt. I sewed two together and hemmed the sided and put stripes in the center. the hand rag ( green) I just cut it to the appropriate side and I hemmed it.
