week 5

MATH 
I did my quiz in my note book. The two quizzes are not alike so I got to do two tests.  
I practiced my adding long numbers. I practiced subtracting long numbers.
I also practiced my roman numerals.
And i am on my 12 lesson.


LANG ARTS 
I finished Mark of Athena.

I have been reading it non stop for three days.

I am now reading  Michael Vey Storm of Lightning. I am on page 50. 

I am reading the book every night. For at least an hour or two. 

I learned the difference between seem, and seam. And past and passed.  

SS
I am reading a history book called Tools of the Ancient Greek.

I am going to do a Ancient Olympics.

I will make laurel wreaths out of weeds.

 The old times in Greece if you won something you would wear a wreath. 

It is the symbol of the Greek Gods. 

I wrote in my journal today. I wrote about my sisters birthday party.I also wrote about school.

I memorized all of the southern states and capitals.

I wrote in my journal again and I rote about are trip to west yellow stone.  

SEWING 
I had my sewing class on Monday. 
I completed my small draw string bag.

This is the almost finished big bag.

And this is the seems that I sewed.

PHOTOGRAPHY 
I am working on the second lesson of photography. I am learning where the aperture is on my camera. 
  

week 4

 MATH
I learned about re-grouping.  The same concept works in division too.
I am done with my very first quiz this year. I missed 3. I got 88% on my test. I got 21 out of 24 correct. 
I practiced my adding and subtracting in my head.  

 LANG ARTS 
I am reading Mark of Athena. I am past half way done with it.

I am reading this book every night for at least an hour or so.

I finished Son of Neptune 

                     
I am still reading "A to Z Mysteries" to my sisters. 

                                              
SEWING
My next sewing class is on Monday.
We are going to Finish my bag. It is going to be a drawstring bag.

PHOTOGRAPHY 
I turned in my first assignment.I took a picture of the same subject with each of the different settings. Like the portrait, sports, landscape, and close up setting to see the difference between them  
I learned where everything is. 
This is a picture of the Canon Rebel. That is the camera I have.

SS (social studies)
I am the leader of a club called the Golden Rose Service Club. We meet together and we have plans to each do an act of service each day and then we report what we did to each other at our meetings. 
                             

I am reading a book about the Civil War. I was surprised at how many people died. A ton of people where killed. It made me sad. 

I am a few chapters into it. 

The thing that started the war is the blacks wanting freedom. 

week 3

MATH 
I learned about regrouping and that in adding and subtracting it is a very important thing.
I added 6 and 8 digits numbers and i subtracted 8 of more numbers.
I practiced my adding and I learned how important zeros and commas are.

LANG ARTS 
I am reading the son of Neptune. I am also reading to my sisters, the a to z mysteries. 
 I am typing my blog to practice my tying skills. I did Nitro Typing.

SEWING 
Yesterday I had my first class. We are making purses. I cut and sewed and placed all the pieces all by my self. 


PHOTOGRAPHY 
I got the camera out. I have a Cannon Rebel. I got my first assignment. I took some pictures of my family while practicing with the camera.    

The vacation we took.

We went on a vacation to Idaho for a week. 
And this is what we learned and did.....  

We went to targhee in Wyoming. We went on a ski lift

and we hiked to the  peak of the top of the table mountain that was 11,106 feet tall.

This is a picture of the different mountains and how tall they where.

there was like a bowl thing and this is a picture of how it was made. and it said that there was volcano dirt and it was carried there by the wind for over 1,000 miles. 

There was a rock that looked like what termites do to wood but we had no idea what cased this I am thinking that it was made by a creature that lives in the rocks and that brake rocks to build burrows.

The horse is an Icelandic pony, it lives longer than any other horses, it was born in Iceland and came over to the USA.

This horses name is Daca and and she is an fjord horse.

These same horses have a black strip in there middle of there manes.

the cemetery that we when to in Idaho is called Sutton cemetery, we found lots of our weekes side in that grave.

He died at the age of  65

                                                             She died at the age of  84

this is Rosanna Weekes my grate aunt. she died when she was born.  

this is my 3 times grate grandpa. he died at the age of  73

she is my 3 times grandma and she died at the age of 77

This is a picture of Sidney Weekes and he came across the planes and came here. and he was the oldest gravestone of the Weekes. 

He died at the age of  68

In yellow stone there was a bunch of Bison and they where HUGE! 

This is a pic of us next to a geyser. it was so very very very HOT!!  

This is a geyser that looked like an endless pit of steam and water.

These geysers are Orange and it is this color because the color depends on all the different minerals in the water.

This one looks like a pool and it is a beautiful color.

This one is called the paint pot and the mud in it looks like boiling paint so that is why it is called the paint pot.

here are some facts on the paint pot....

This one hisses and what makes it do that is the air wants to get out of there super fast so when it dose comes out is makes a hissing nose out of all the pressure.

this is one that shoots out water super high in the air. 

This is a picture of old faithful erupting. i expected it to be a lot louder and taller and bigger. and it was 10 mins late then the time it was supposed to erupted. but when it finally did it was AWESOME! besides the downers that i told you. 

This Bison was next to the rode. and i saw it eating, it look like it was minding its own business.
