Week 18

MATH
I did lesson 68. I learned about multiplying powers. 
I did lesson 69. I learned about advanced distributing. .
I did lesson 70. I learned about dividing powers. 
I did lesson 71. I learned more on scientific notation. 



LANGUAGE ARTS
I did some typing. I am up to 25 words per minute. I am working on the advanced typing section. I did some story of the world. I am learning about the Egyptians. I learned how the Egyptians mummified the dead bodies. I learned that for pretty woman they wanted to mummify the body when it was decided so the men would not want to kiss a gross body.  I am reading a book called the unbeatable squirrel girl. We are doing a new spelling program called Spelling Tutor. I am working on three words. The words bicycle,accidentally, and exercise.  



SCIENCE
I learned that a lion can run up to 50 miles per hour and a distance of 36 feet. I learned that a lion can go without drinking and eating for 2 weekes. They will sometimes eat wild cucumbers and wild melons for water in none can be found. I learned that a lion can weigh 300 to 500 lbs. I also learned that they can grow up to 6 - 9 feet long. I learned that in one pride there can be up to 40 lions. And up to 3 males. 



GYMNASTICS
We did not have class this week. I practiced for 2 hours at home. I have a goal to get an aerial by my birthday which is April 12. I am working on my one handed cartwheel so I can do an aerial. I am working on my splits. I am working on my backbend kickovers. I am getting really good at my handstands.  



MAKERSPACE
I designed a logo for a boutique called Past Present and Future. It has a white background with a black border and light pink polka dots.  
It is going to be laser cut into craft foam.
