Week 28

MATH
I played prodigy. I am working on learning where the Y axes and the X axes are on the graph. I am learning about finding points on the graph.I am wokring on finding shapes on the graph.

SCIENCE
I learned about elephants. I learned that they are pregnant for a little over 2 years. I learned that a baby elephant has to be in there teens before they can be independent of there mothers. I learned about vampire bats. I learned that in a year a group of vampire bats can drink the equivalent of a small heard of cows. 

LANGUAGE ARTS
I did my spelling tutor. I did 3 stories. I got all the words right. I spelled 88 words. I did typing. I am typing health terms. They are really hard and really long. I read a book called Academy 7. I read it in about 3 days. It is a sci-fi type book. 

SOCIAL STUDIES

I learned about the wars fought between the French and the British. I learned that when Britain won against the French the Americans felt no more need to be protected by them. So they started to rebel. 

GYMNASTICS
I am practicing standing up from my back bends. I am working on my core strength. I went to class this week. I worked on my front walkovers, back walkovers, front flips, and several other things. 

DRONE
I am working on some more asigments. I am working on learning how to take a picture with the drone. I am working on taking pictures high in the air. I am working on getting more comfortable with my drone. 

Week 27

MATH
I played prodigy. In prodigy, I learned about negative numbers in a graph. I got most of the answers correct. I worked on the dark tower. I am on level 45. 

SCIENCE
I learned about how we hear. I learned that when we hear the sound it vibrates 2 little bones in our year that then more some really small hair. Then those movements go to our brain as sound.  I also learned about H2O. I learned that 80% of our boys is H2O. I learned that we can't go longer than 3 days without it. I also learned that the hump on camels back does not hold water. They hold fat that can be turned into, or used like water. 

LANGUE ARTS
I am reading a book called Chicken Soup For The Teenage Soul. It is really good. I am doing my typing. I am doing my spelling. I get most of the words right. I did my homophones. I learned the differences between two, too, and to. 


SOCIAL STUDIES
I learned about Anne Frank. I learned that her family hid in her father's workshop for over 2 years. I learned that she was keeping a journal at that time. I learned that after the holocaust her father published her diary. It is now one of the most read books ever. 


GYMNASTICS
I am practicing at my house. At the class, I tried a front handspring. It is really hard. I am working on my handstands to get my arm strong. I am working on my core strength. 


DRONE
I did my drone racecourse. I made a video of it. I worked on my editing skills. Here is the link to my video.

Week 26

    MATH

I am doing Prodigy. I finished learning about adding, subtracting, dividing, and multiplying negative numbers. I learned about the square root if numbers. I finished that. I am now continuing to learn about graphs. 

SCIENCE

I learned about the heart. I learned that it is the organ that keeps you alive. I learned that it is what moved blood around your body. I learned that it is as big as your fist. 

SOCIAL STUDIES 

I am learning about american history. I learned about Pocahontas. I learned that she wanted peace between the whites and Indians. I learned that the whites took her to marry a man as a peace offering. She died 3 years later from sickness. 

LANGUE ARTS

I did my typing. I can type a steady speed of 35 - 40 words per minute. I did my spelling. I got all the words right. I did reading. I am reading a book called The Silent Songbird. 

GYMNASTICS

I practiced at home. I am getting good at my front walkovers. I am working on my core. I am working on my handstands. I am working on my back handsprings. 

DRONE

I am working on my drone race course. I am learning about the program that I use to edit the videos. I am working on learning about the drone. I learned that the first drone was invented on Feb, 4, 2002. 

Week 25

MATH

I learned about adding negative decimals. I learned about subtracting negative decimals. I learned about adding and subtraction negative fractions. I have been playing Prodigy. 

SCIENCE

I learned about dreams. I learned that dreams are a way of your mined releasing unhelpful information.  I also learned that no one can predict a dream. I learned that dreams also help release stress. 

SOCIAL STUDIES

I learned about Albert Einstein. I learned that be was born on March 14. I learned that he died on April 18. At 76 years old. I learned that he had 3 children. 2 boys, and 1 girl. 

LANGUE ARTS

I did my typing. I can type at a steady speed of 35 words per minute. I did my spelling. I got all my words write. I did reading. I finished the book I was reading.

DRONE

I am working on my drone race course. I am continuing to learn about the drone. I am learning how to fly it. I am working on the drone. 

GYMNASTICS

I almost landed my front flip. I am working on my front walkovers. I am working on my back walkovers. I am working on my core training. 

  

Week 24

MATH

I am doing Kahn Academy. I did a bunch of review problems.  I did a lot of adding fractions. I also subtracted factions. I also added and subtracted negative numbers. I added and subtracted negative fractions.   

LANGUE ARTS

I am reading a book called Kingdom Keepers by Ridley Pearson. It is a book about Disney world at night. I did headphones. I did typing. I did spelling. 

SCIENCE

I learned about the blobfish. It looks just like it sounds. A blob. It lives very deep underwater. It also can't swim very fast, if at all. I learned that it eats the bubbles that come out of an underwater volcano. 

SOCIAL STUDIES

I am learning about America's history. Right now I am learning about the Civil war. I learned that it is called the Civil war because it killed more people than the other two wars combined. It involved a lot of civilians. 

DRONE

I am working on my drone race course. I am practicing flying my drone. I am getting more confrontable with it. I also am learning more about my drone.

GYMNASTICS

I did a perfect front walkover. I am working on my strength. I am working on my handstands. I am working on my splits.
